ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all golf course equipment, golf carts, and property vehicles
- Operate diagnostic and repair tools
- Repair all small equipment, e.g., push mowers, string trimmers, hand blowers
- Operate all golf course equipment and assists with golf course maintenance related tasks when needed

- Operate diagnostic and repair tools

- Operate all golf course equipment and assists with golf course, maintenance related tasks when needed
- Work proactively relative to equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime and loss of productivity
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing engines
- Prioritize equipment repair and maintenance work relative to golf course operations
- Assist with maintaining inventory of shelf stock of repair parts, nuts and bolts, belts, and hoses
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment inside and outside
- Adjust mowers correctly to the Lead Mechanic's and Superintendent's standards
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner and abide by all safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to all company and departmental guidelines
- Report any hazards, injuries, and safety concerns to supervisor immediately
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- Previous golf course experience is a plus
- Previous experience in automotive, small engine repair, gas and diesel helpful
Required Technical / Other Skills / Licenses
- Must have attention to detail
- Must possess a valid California driver’s license and maintain a clean DMV record
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously ensuring on-time delivery of quality work.
- Willingness to learn and perform new golf maintenance programs
