About the Job:
We have an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated Outside Sales Representative selling Toro
Commercial Turf Equipment, Irrigation, and other various Allied Products. 
Territory of Responsibility: Southern California
Customer focus is on existing customers, such as: golf courses, municipalities, cities, counties, etc. This 
individual would also be responsible to prospect for new business.
This position is based within 100 miles of Brea, CA.
Represent Turf Star/Western in a professional, ethical manner when working with both external and 
internal customers. 
Essential Job Functions:
• Maintain or exceed performance metrics in a variety of disciplines, some of which may change to 
address market conditions. 
o These are to include sales goals within areas of: New, Pre-Owned, Demo, EPP, and Allied 
product lines. 
o Metrics are also to be met in the demonstration and quoting of both New and Demo 
products. 
• Use CRM to manage account activity to include; contact management, sales forecasting, call 
reports, and scheduling. 
• Manage equipment demos with accounts to include communicating functionality, safe operation, 
including features, benefits and advantages verses competition. 
• Provide accurate quotes and configuration of products to Customers in a timely manner.
• Provide finance options when requested.
• Customer follow-up and operator training after the sale. 
o Minimum requirement: 24-hour phone call after delivery of equipment.
o Supports: All non-commissioned programs (myTurf, TLC) in interest of building strategic 
relationship with client.
• Participation in company sponsored events, training, trade shows, organizations, meetings both inperson and web conference, and other related activities. 
• Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of all products, including specific product 
configurations, pricing strategies and usage of proprietary software necessary for professional 
representation in all modes.

• Represent the company both externally/internally with a winning and positive attitude.
• Operate and maintain company owned vehicle and equipment trailer as mandated by company 
policies.
• Responsible for proper use and security of company owned assets, which include and not limited to
company vehicle/trailer, mobile smartphone, laptop, etc. 
• Must present a professional appearance acceptable within industry standards.

Job Requirements:
• Self-starter with above average computer skills. 
• 15-20% overnight travel required
• Physically lift 50lbs.
o Additional pounds require an assisted lift.
• Physical activity to include coupling truck and trailer, loading, securing with straps and unloading 
equipment.
• Capable of working in extreme heat and cold conditions, such as outside elements. 
• Demonstrate features, benefits, and proper use of equipment both riding and walking types of 
commercial turf maintenance equipment. 
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Road Warrior – Drive company vehicle for extended periods of time
• Strong computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Obtain and maintain Toro Sales Professional Certification.
• Integrity, as well as empathy 
• Adhere to company requirements for returning phone calls in a timely manner, both internal and 
external.
Job Qualifications:
• Self-starter with above average computer skills
• Some outside sales experience, but not a minimum requirement
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited school or university preferred
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Display a winning attitude.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
• Base Salary paid semi-monthly
• Tiered Commission Program – paid monthly in arrears
